Workshop Times: Parties can be scheduled any day of the week based on availability. Your Buy-out reserves the space for a 2.5 hour workshop. You are allowed one hour prior to the workshop time for setup and half an hour post workshop for cleanup. Please note, some projects may allot for a longer workshop time.
Added Time: Any additional time is based on availability and MUST be schedule and paid for prior to the event. Event will end strictly at the contracted time so our studio can remain on schedule for the day.
Minimums: To keep your booking private, your minimum workshop spend must be met prior to the workshop. If your guest/registration count brings you below the minimum, you will be charged the difference as a flat rate. If your guest count is less than 50% of the minimum, we reserve the right to open seats to the public. Your buy-out fee does NOT count towards your minimum spend. All guests are required to have a project. Private Events allow for up to 2 non-crafting hosts. Non-crafting guests do NOT count towards the studio minimums.
Guarantees & Payments: Your final guest count (needed approx. 1 week prior to the workshop) will become your new minimum guarantee if higher than the contracted minimum. If a guest can longer attend, the host may take the project if feasible. Upon final registrations, 50% payment will be due prior to the event. Final payment can be made the night of the event.
Age policy: At the discretion of the host, please review seating policy.
Instruction Waiver: Specialty Workshops are instructor-led sessions. We give a general intro to the group and provide guidance through the steps.
Food & Drink: Host must provide all food, beverage and flatware. Light snack-type foods are suggested as there is not a set meal time and grazing happens around the project steps. We understand some event types may prefer to cater a light meal, please discuss additional time needed upon booking. Additional fees and restrictions may apply.
Hammer & Stain is not responsible for food and beverage, the host is responsible for anything food and beverage related. Garbage can be disposed of in our dumpsters, but all food and beverage tables must be cleaned up by the host and left in the way the workshop began. Please note that our workshop instructors are not trained in handling food and beverage and cannot provide these services.
Canned or bottled beverages are allowed to be brought in. We strongly encourage individually canned beverages. If you bring wine glasses, we recommend stemless and disposable. Bottles of liquor are not permitted.
Things to note:
- Coolers for cold food and ice are recommended as we do not have a place to store them.
- We do not have a freezer.
- An ice bucket will be available for your use. We do not allow ice bags on the floors or counters.
- Common items we see needed are plates, napkins, forks, cups, bottle openers, serving utensils.
Our Party Room has counter space available for you to set up your food & beverage. If you are buying-out the whole studio, you will still use the counter space in our party room.
Food & Beverage Tips:
- We strongly encourage grazing type foods or individual servings (i.e. small sandwich bites, dips, single serve cups). Items that require a place setting with fork and knife are not suggested.
- There is NO formal eating time during the workshop. Guests can pick throughout the workshop while in between steps of the project. This is where the grazing foods work best.
- We do not have a fridge or freezer for public use.
- Coolers may be brought in. Ice may only be brought in if stored in a cooler. Ice bags will not be permitted on the floor or sitting in the sinks.
- Please ask your Workshop Instructors when food can be served and kindly respect their timeline. If it is not followed, your guests may not have time to finish their craft.
